Below is a brief overview of our core beliefs. find out more come and visit us or get in touch!
ONE GOD
THE CREATOR
OUR FATHER
We believe in one GOD, who creates and sustains everything. GOD is not a cold, distant power - he wants to have a close relationship with everyone. He is our father, so we love and respect him as a father figure.
We can come to him and ask him if we have any questions or doubts and he is open to hear them if we respect him.
We learn about GOD and his character through reading the Bible and in its pages can find the answers to all our questions and doubts.
ONE JESUS
SON OF GOD
OUR SAVIOUR
OUR EXAMPLE
We believe in Jesus, the son of GOD. He lived a perfect life and set an example for us to follow if we want to live a life that pleases GOD.
Every day, in all the situations we encounter, we try to behave in the way that Jesus would have behaved if he were with us.
ONE BIBLE
GOD’S MESSAGE
ABOUT US
The Bible is written by many different people, from many different backgrounds and over thousands of years.
We believe GOD worked with these people to write one, continuous and complete message. A message about GOD and his desire to have a relationship with people.
The Bible is a fascinating book made up of history, prophetic works, parables, satire, ancient literature and much more. Each of the authors and parts of the Bible tell us something new about GOD and about the human condition.
ONE HOPE
ETERNAL LIFE
ETERNAL PEACE
A RENEWED WORLD
We have a strong hope for the future, which is detailed in the Bible. This gives us confidence and security in life even when everything around us is uncertain.
We believe that Jesus will return to the earth to set up a kingdom over all the world. This will bring an end to all pain, suffering and death. All people will know, love and worship GOD.
WHO ARE THE CHRISTADELPHIANS?
Christadelphians are a worldwide community of believers who try to follow the example of Jesus Christ, our saviour from sin.
We believe that the Bible was written down by people but was inspired by GOD.
The word “Christadelphian“ is a bit of a mouthful!
The name was first invented shortly before the American civil war by our founding member, John Thomas. up until this point, our community didn’t have a name: We tried to give more importance to the Bible than to ourselves as a community. When the war came, the believers had to formally register a name so that they could register for conscientious objection.
“Christadelphians“ is a combination of 2 Greek words:
Χριστός - Christ
Αδερφια - Brothers and sisters.
We are a family, brothers and sisters, because of the work that Jesus has done.
